Makayla had a very busy, but fun Easter weekend! We had heard for several days that the weather was supposed to be pretty bad on Sat. and Sun. so we decided to do our Easter Egg Hunt on Good Fri. (I will be posting those pictures soon.) On Saturday, we all got up and went to Bellville to spend some time with her Grammy and Grampy (Phil's parents) and we had a great time. Her cousin Noah was there and they got to hunt some eggs inside the house since it had been raining all day. Then the next day, we went to church and then went to Mimi and Grand Bubba's (Sharon's parents) for lunch. I think Makayla really enjoyed herself! Her dress was absolutely adorable!

Ok, so being a mom has changed me a lot right. There are certain things you have to come to grips with when you do become a mom like:
1. You WILL be pooped on
2. You WILL be peed on
3. You WILL be thrown up on
These are just inevitable facts that you learn to deal with.
But I never EVER thought I would have to do the following. Today, as Makayla and I are having some fun at home time.. she wonders over to me and kinda starts smiling. I laugh and tickle her, when I notice something kinda dark in her mouth. Well, she loves to stick leaves in her mouth, so that's what I thought it was. OH NO, I pull out the first piece to be horrified that it is a June bug body... UGH! Then I pull out the next piece which was part of a wing.. then lastly.. I pull out an eye! Can I just say... GGGGRRRROOOOOSSSSSSS!!!! I almost threw up a little.. how sick is that?!?! Why would she keep that in her mouth??? Doesn't it taste nasty?? So needless to say, Motherhood is ALWAYS unpredictable! So I guess I need to add this:
4. You WILL pull bug parts out of your child's mouth at some point.Comments:Mimi: That's my girl! Always willing to try new things. She may be a naturalist in the making or just thinking of ways toJennifer Zehr: OHH NASTY!!! HAHAHAH That is funny! Roger would be proud of her! Being a Survival expert in the Air Force, he has eaten MUCH more disgusting bugs than that, so he would be proud that she can at least stand the taste of them! hahahah! I am sure Makenna will attemt those things as well so thanks for the warning! She is so cute!!karen: MY boys NEVER had bugs in their mouths! Just be glad it wasn't a roach. What adorable videos. Makayla is precious.Add a comment:
